Most people making the trip to Haida Gwaii book their reservations well in advance. As a result, it is difficult for guest house proprietors to rebook on short cancellation notice. We appreciate your understanding for our following reservation policy.
When you make a reservation, we guarantee to hold the house for the days you have requested. When you make the reservation, we will charge a 50% non-refundable deposit. We use PayPal or E-transact, and generate a receipt for the deposit which is emailed to you. Cancellation must be received 15 days before your scheduled arrival. If you cancel with less than 15 days notice, we reserve the right to fully charge you for your total reservation. Please note the 15 day notice also applies to any reduction on the number of nights you have committed to stay.
Note: Should we be able to re-book those nights, we will be more than pleased to credit you back (a processing fee of $35 plus tax will apply in that case). We understand that life sometimes interferes with planned vacations and will make every effort to re-book the nights you had reserved.
We are long time residents of Haida Gwaii and are very aware of weather issues that might affect your schedule when using the ferry and airlines to get here. If you are unable to come on the day you are booked due to cancellation of your flight or sailing, please let us know as soon as possible and we will apply your deposit to the remainder of your time here.
In consideration for those who have allergies, we have a policy of no pets inside the house.
This is a NON-smoking facility anywhere inside. A sand pot for butts is provided out on the deck. Our wonderful guests have never abused this provision, but should it occur, there would be a significant cleaning and deodorizing charge.
